August 8 Industrial/Institutional Air Modeling Workshop
Holiday Inn By The Bay, Portland, Maine
For 15 years Regulatory development has been the preoccupation of most of industry. Technology development has been at the forefront as the regulations were driving emissions lower and lower. The question of how do I comply with what looks to be impossible was on almost everyone’s mind. As a result almost anything except emergency requirements was deferred until after MACT compliance. Now that date is two years past, the economy is growing and ten years of deferred projects are moving forward. One company had 27 projects in one state that were in need of permits.
This year’s conference will focus on a plant’s environmental permits and what it takes to get it, comply with it and live with it – from compliance technologies to requirements and interpretations. This information is what every environmental engineer needs to know before they apply for it; and, what every power plant manager or someone directly connected to the operating facility should know before they push the start button for any energy generator – even before reading the safety and operating instructions. The old days of the annual compliance test are gone. The ability to prove compliance 24/7 is here to stay.
How do you do that? That is what this conference is all about – finding the best and most cost effective ways to improve your overall plant performance, the environment and your sustainability and financial reporting requirements.
