  1. Active members are owners or operators of any company operating in the industrial steam energy sector ($11,000/yr)

  2. Associate members are equipment service and technology suppliers to companies operating in the industrial steam energy sector ($5,500/yr)

  3. University members are universities and colleges through their powerplant and energy operations ($1,000/yr)

Committee Structure

Communication, Education, and Outreach Committee

    CIBO needs to communicate its message about the industrial boiler community to Federal, State, and Local governments; to educate its members about ongoing issues concerning their business; and communicate these member interests to governmental, trade, and environmental groups.
Energy Committee
    To be the primary forum for the development and dissemination of technically sound, equitable, cost-effective policy, laws and regulations affecting energy products, sources and equipment (fuels, electricity and production equipment) use, applicability and cost for CIBO members and all industrial boiler owners and operators.

Environmental Committee
    To be the primary forum for the advancement and development of policy, strategy and positions for technically sound equitable, cost-effective environmental policy, laws and regulations affecting CIBO members and all industrial boiler owners and operators.

Government Affairs Committee
    To be the primary forum for developing, directing and implementing CIBO's legislative lobbying strategy to meet the energy and environmental objectives of the association and its members.
International Committee
    Serves as a "Clearinghouse" of technical information, legislation and rulemaking pertinent to energy and environmental issues related to steam production and use as practiced in other countries and transnational organizations.
Membership Committee
    To be the primary CIBO staff support in developing and implementing programs, materials and activities to attract new members, retain existing members and recover former members -- to expand CIBO membership to meet the energy and environmental objectives of the association.
RCRA Special Project Committee
Technical Committee
    Promote safe, reliable and cost-effective practices in the design, operation and maintenance of industrial energy steam and power systems.
